Yoga has become a big part of my life. I was looking for ways to treat injuries from soccer that I had when I started attending classes regularly during my collegiate career. They helped me with my injuries and also improved myself on and off the field. As I saw these improvements, I started to want to learn more and more about all that is related to it.

Often we tend to have pre-conceived notions or discredit things without knowing, or thinking that we know something based on what we have heard about it; but in reality nothing can be compared with personal experience. So, I invite all to try Iyengar yoga that has been the most amazing thing that I have found in my life.

Iyengar yoga focuses on correct alignment and balance.  As athletes, we put great strain on the body, and we create a lot of imbalances that affect our body and mind because they are connected . It is important to find this balance to  keep the body functioning optimally and prevent injury as we move forward with our career.  Yoga can also help not only with stability and strength in the physical body, but also can help the mind too.

I am very passionate about yoga and I dedicate as much time as possible as I can to it. I think it can help each individual in all aspects. Even if someone is not interested in the spiritual side of yoga, they can benefit from the physical side. Yoga provides stretches and poses that can be modified and specialized to target different parts of the body; which is helpful in athletes who often have problem areas or regions that undergo heavy use during training and games.

Through my yoga training I can identify problem areas that we can work on to improve your game as well as overall well being. I am a 200-hour certified yoga instructor from Yoga One in Hollywood, Florida, and I am looking forward to be certificate in Iyengar Yoga.
